Canyonlands National Park - Cutler Group
The Cutler Group is composed of (youngest to oldest):
White Rim Sandstone
Organ Rock Shale
Cedar Mesa Sandstone
Halgaito Shale/Lower Cutler Formation Each layer has different characteristics as streams, near-shore sand dunes and marine environments interfingered during deposition. However, to the northeast, these four elements cannot be distinguished and the Group is referred to as Cutler Undivided.
