Nikwax Softshell Proof, Spray-on Fabric Care renews the durable water repellency (DWR) on the outer face fabric so that moisture beads up and rolls off the garment instead of soaking into the fabric. This improves performance in two ways. It greatly reduces moisture weight gain and it provides a predominantly dry outer surface so that moisture vapor is more likely to move, or breathe, to the outside of the garment instead of condensing on the inside.
